Rachel Piggott

Although having drawn and enjoyed making things when I was young, I did not take up painting until my mid-thirties. With a busy career I have found that painting can provide balance on a number of levels; to both calm the mind and also to ask it to think in different ways. Our teacher Ros helps us explores things within ourselves that we didn't know were there. Her skill is to guide; helping us create great work out of what sometimes, at first, feels directionless. This is the beauty of painting; you can create something out of nothing.
